Alcohol Awareness Month Highlights
April 1, 2002
Recovery is a Family Affair: Everyone is Invited
MOAR is very pleased to have Stacia Murphy, The National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence (NCADD) Executive Director participate in our Sharing Our Stories of Recovery training. The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence fights the stigma and the disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions.
Please come April 20th! Read our flyer! Don't just read it! Come!
What MOAR is the Training About:
Educating the public, policy makers and community about the facts and experiences of those in addiction and recovery is especially important for the future of the continuum of services. This day will give hands-on tips and skill development for how to become an effective communicator about recovery. Please know this is not about having to tell your story; it is about becoming an effective communicator. Different Strokes for Different Folks is appropriate! Come and join the team of MOAR in bringing the message of recovery to the people who need most to hear! Our teachers are The Improbable Players and a host of others.
